My thanks to David Kurtz over at Talking Points Memo for highlighting an amazing quote by US Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Justice Jackson, hearing arguments for unlimited presidential immunity from lawyers representing Donald Trump, subsequently mused:
"What was up with the pardon for President Nixon? If everybody thought that presidents couldn't be prosecuted, then what was that about?"
In addition to the admiration I felt for Justice Jackson's razor-sharp observation, I'll also admit that I had a momentary flashback to a long-running Saturday Night Live sketch starring Kenan Thompson.
